Wheels & Steering
Pallet Jacks need to be easy to move and steer. The wheels are not only the fastest wearing part, they are key to the ease of use.
Australian pallets have bottom boards and the best system for ease of entry and minimum pallet damage is a single load wheel with a guide entry roller which lifts the load wheel as it rolls over the bottom board.
Tandem load wheels are designed for use with pallets with no bottom boards. They are often not suited for use with our pallets.
Single load wheels are also better in steering on a 90 deg turn. The steer wheel and load wheels can rotate without the tyre scrub that happens with tandem wheels.
The size and sealing of wheel and steering bearings are also important.
These bearings keep the Pallet Jack easy to move & steer all its life.
You get pallet entry rollers, large diameter single load wheels and double steer wheels with high capacity sealed wheel and steering bearings.
Lifting
The lift pump is 3 T capacity and is fitted with a relief valve to protect against overloading.
It has a hard chrome surfaced lifting rod to minimise the risk of external damage.
Seals are hydraulic multi pack with wiper rings.
Lift/Lower control is through a 3 position hand lever.
There is also a seperate foot operated lever to lower the load.
Lift height is 195mm giving good ground clearance to avoid underside obstructions.
Frame
The 3 T capacity frame is 4mm thick for strength.
Gussets transfer load between the wheel and lift jack support points. The fork arms have “C” section channel members and box reinforcement either side.
Bell crank and push rod lift pivots are bushed to prevent wear
The push rods are strong thick walled structural rectangular section.
An epoxy powder coat paint finish keeps the frame protected against corrosion.
